The Ivorian is also great from set pieces, with his impressive deliveries often creating opportunities at goal, and this is something that Chelsea have lacked this season.
Granted, the defensive side of his game is not particularly strong, but alongside a player like Kante, that doesn’t matter too much. He excels with the ball at his feet, and unlike Fabregas, he rarely gives it away.

Bringing him in, then, would make perfect sense – and it would allow the Blues to move on from the faltering Cesc Fabregas. Chelsea have been touted with having an interest by L’Equipe this week, and so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
