Currently playing over in France, the 26-year-old has had a few good years at his current side. He impressed, in particular, last season, with his team finishing in third place.
Though not perhaps a game-changing player in the ilk of N’Golo Kante, Seri is a brilliant supplementary player – as Fabregas was in his pomp – and so he’d be right at home in the midfielder alongside Chelsea’s number 7. His main attribute comes when the ball is at his feet. He’s brilliant at moving it forward and, in particular, his passing is a real highlight. He has picked up 4 assists this season, and he got 9 last season, but his goal involvement doesn’t stop there. He’s regularly involved in play moving forward, and whilst he may not always get the final pass, he’s often involved in the lead-up to that.

The Ivorian is also great from set pieces, with his impressive deliveries often creating opportunities at goal, and this is something that Chelsea have lacked this season.
Granted, the defensive side of his game is not particularly strong, but alongside a player like Kante, that doesn’t matter too much. He excels with the ball at his feet, and unlike Fabregas, he rarely gives it away.

Bringing him in, then, would make perfect sense – and it would allow the Blues to move on from the faltering Cesc Fabregas. Chelsea have been touted with having an interest by L’Equipe this week, and so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
