6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 25)

Tuesday, June 26, 2018

Raw on Monday night was an exercise in patience and endurance.
Right out of the chute, we got an effective opening (depending on your perspective) that established Bobby Lashley as the voice of the people, putting Roman Reigns in his place.
Then we went off the rails for a bit before swerving back on track at the end with a strong main event match that ended with Reigns finding a new place, as if he took Lashley’s suggestion to heart.

Along the way, we saw the B-Team continue its parody with no tag title match set in stone. We saw Bayley and Sasha Banks’ saga continue, but take an odd turn that seems way out of place. We saw a tag team rematch to open the show, but with different results this time. We saw multiple odd pairings of enemies and frenemies with predictable results.

Raw certainly was more than watchable Monday night, but the absence of a main champion is really apparent and a drag on the show. With no main prize to chase, people are left to argue about who gets to challenge Brock Lesnar at some distant, unspecified time in the future. That needs to change.
