‘Welcome To Old Trafford’, Offer Accepted, £80m Transfer Imminent

Wednesday, July 18, 2018

According to the Daily Star, Santiago Bernabeu outfits have agreed to accept £80million offer from Manchester United for the services of their striker Mateo Kovacic.

The Red Devils have been on the player’s trail for a very long time but a deal failed to materialize until the end of last season. However, they have reignited their desire to work with the 24-year-old midfielder next season and they have tabled a £80million bid for his signature.

Mourinho could confirm the Croatian’s service in coming weeks as reports via the British publication suggest that Madrid are ready to sanction his switch to the Theater of Dreams.

Kovacic is a highly-rated box-to-box midfielder but hasn’t been given quality time on the field of play.

Having joined the Spanish club from Inter Milan in 2015, the world cup star has only managed 109 matches in all competitions.
The player has reportedly shown his desire to leave the European Champions this summer and Mourinho is hoping to help the young man rejuvenate his career in the 2018-19 season.

After three years at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, Kovacic has won three back-to-back UEFA Champions League trophies, he also has a La Liga medals to his name.

With Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in the team, it is definitely hard for him to get in the club’s starting lineup.

Spending £80million seems to be too high for a player who hasn’t been actively involved in many matches for the Los Blancos.
