Manchester United Fans celebrates from stands as superstar make history

Pogba’s future has been the subject of endless speculation in recent weeks but the Frenchman hit back in style by making United history against Leicester on Friday evening.


Daniel Amartey’s handball inside the penalty area gave Pogba the chance to break the deadlock in only the 3rd minute and the World Cup winning midfielder made no mistake from 12 yards.

The goal was the fastest the Red Devils have ever scored (2 minutes 26 seconds) on the opening day of a season and summer signing Dalot was there to witness it from the stands.

Filmed by a member of his management team, Dalot was seen celebrating alongside supporters as United sealed a 2-1 victory. Luke Shaw added a second in the 83rd minute before Jamie Vardy scored what turned out to be a consolation goal in stoppage time.

Dalot, who completed a £19million move from Porto in June, is currently working his way back to full fitness after sustaining a knee injury. The 19-year-old full-back is expected to return to action in September.

Mourinho’s captain on the night, Pogba, slammed Shaw’s critics after the left-back scored a crucial second goal for United against the Foxes. ‘Luke is someone who works very hard in training. People criticise him and he didn’t have a lot of chances to play last season,’ United’s skipper said. ‘But every time he played, he did a great job and showed something great. ‘I think he deserves respect and people to be very happy about him. Look at his statistics, look at his game.’
