Manchester United on Tuesday announced that they had reached an agreement for the 25-year-old with Shakhtar Donetsk.

He is set to sign a five-year contract to move to Old Trafford, and Vickery expects him to excel.
“They are getting an all-around midfielder, a box-to-box midfielder, little squat-figure with a terrific engine and a very nice left foot,” Vickery told the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast.
“They are getting a player at a very interesting time in his career.
“He was linked with Man City earlier on after Man City played against Shakhtar in the Champions League. After the game, Guardiola was very impressed.
“You could see why Guardiola would be impressed. You could almost see a mini, left-footed version of Fernandinho in him. Even in the way his career has panned out with the way he moved to Ukraine and developed there.

Fred has also been backed to shine by Brazilian legend Rivaldo, who is familiar with Jose Mourinho's methods from their time together at Barcelona.
He said of Fred: "He is a wonderful player. Like any other player when you move to a new country, he will need a little bit of time to adapt.
"But when you are a good player and a brilliant midfielder like he is, he is going to do well and he is going to be good for Manchester United and they will be good for him."

Chelsea's Willian, who is on international duty with Fred ahead of the World Cup and is another to have worked under Mourinho, added of his Brazil team-mate: "He has a lot of quality, he can improve a lot.
"He goes to one of the best teams in the world and I'm happy for him.
