Sunday, June 10, 2018

So you’ve just lost your second UFC fight, and now a former friend of yours is shading you on social media? That’s the situation facing former WWE star CM Punk today, after he lost on points to Mike Jackson last night.£100m transfer Shortly after the completion of the fight, WWE commentator Corey Graves sent a series of tweets alluding to his previous friendship with Punk, and how the UFC fighter had abandoned ‘everybody who stood by your side.’

Graves, who used to wrestle as Sterling James Keenan, was heavily inspired as a wrestler by CM Punk, and the two became friends on the independent scene. Since Punk’s departure from WWE in 2014, he has barely referenced the wrestling scene, and has allegedly ceased contact with the majority

of his friends from that time period. Punk began the week by winning a lawsuit against WWE doctor Chris Amann, after he was sued following comments he made on a podcast with Colt Cabana in 2014. Amann had claimed that Punk and Cabana had defamed him during the interview and was seeking damages of one million dollars, but Jurors sided with the defendants after a costly legal battle.
