Friday, July 13, 2018

Argentina and Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has agreed to join Chelsea but the completion of the deal is subject to personal terms agreement and the resolution of their managerial crisis., according to reports in Italy via Calciomercato.

Chelsea will bolster every aspect of their squad this summer and they have made the signing of a striker one of their priorities. Spanish striker Alvaro Morata failed to justify the bogus amount spent on his signing last summer and the Blues are ready to improve upon him with the signing of Higuain.

Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Napoli but even though he’s not an out-and-out striker, it is widely claimed that Higuain has decided to call time on his spell in Turin following the arrival of the winger.

Higuain joined Juventus from Napoli in a €90 million deal and the report by Calciomercato claim the Old Lady will only budge to his transfer if his €55 million valuation is met.

However, Higuain has informed his deal breaker Fali Ramadani that while he has agreed to join Chelsea, he wants assurances that Maurizio Sarri would take over the reins of the clubs. He has further requested that the Blues agree to pay him €7 million per annum as his wage.

Chelsea are expected to complete the signing of Jorginho today but Sarri and other players are expected to follow suit.

If the move for Higuain is completed, it could spell the end of Morata’s stay at Stamford Bridge.
