MANCHESTER UNITED PREPARING £88m FOR WORLD-CLASS PLAYER

Sunday, June 3, 2018

Manchester United are set to make a £88 million bid for Gareth Bale after Real Madrid and the player indicated a deal was possible. Wales international revealed after the Champions League final he was considering his future and it is suggested the winger’s commitment to Los Blancos has deteriorated rapidly in the last 12 months. The Daily Record claims Manchester United tried to sign Bale previous summer and Jose Mourinho was then hopeful the forward would help push through the transfer

But, Bale decided to stay in Madrid, only to see his playing time severely limited by Zinedine Zidane. The Red Devils are keen on bringing Gareth Bale back to Premier League and have been encouraged by both the player and the club.

Welshman, who is thought to take in around £500,000 a week at Real Madrid, shocked fans when he threatened to quit Santiago Bernabeu just moments after lifting the Champions League trophy last month.

‘Obviously, I need to be playing week in, week out, and that hasn’t happened this season for one reason or another,’ Bale said. ‘I had about a five-, six-week injury at the start of the season and I’ve been fit ever since. ‘So obviously now I have to sit down in the summer and discuss it with my agent, and, yeah, we’ll take it from there.’
